She was predeceased by: her mother Nettie Monroe; her husband Tommie L. Sawyer; her father Ernest Monroe; her siblings, Lester, Roy, Ernest Hill, Matthew, Evelyn Monroe, Ernestine Branch and Marion March; and her great grandchild Caleb Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley LaPine (Jim), Luana Fuller (Eddie) and Tom Sawyer (Sherry); her sisters, Carole Oesterle and Sharon Harrison; and her sister-in-law Connie Monroe. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
