She was predeceased by: her parents, Ottis E. Powell and Lennie Powell (Moss); her husband Clifford Rex Sloan; her children, Clifford Lynn Sloan and Tina Rockwell; and her sister Joyce Sweet (Lawrence).
She is survived by: her friend Clifford Rex Sloan; her daughters, Rachel Carson (Mark), Pamela Sloan and Susan Boshears (Robert); her son-in-law Brian Rockwell; her grandchildren, Mark Carson Jr., Jami Perry (Earle), Nicole Rockwell, Paige Boshears and Samantha Boshears; her great grandchildren, Mark Eli Carson III, Riley Carson and Cecil Carson; and her siblings, Marshall Powell (Velda), Lenville Powell (Lynn), William Powell (Selma), Ann Weakley (Roger), Viola Kauthen and Virginia Ward (Thomas).
A celebration of Lib's life will be held when the health department restrictions regarding Covid-19 are lifted.
She enjoyed traveling and was a long-time member of the local charity group, the Dansville Ladybugs.
