It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Arlene Stein (Wayne, Michigan), born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Howard E. Stein; and her son Mark Stein. She is survived by: her sons, Scott Stein (Patricia) and Todd Stein; her sister Jean Hayward; and her grandchildren, Blake and Amy Stein.
Phyllis's involvement in city functions, her role in the Wayne Garden Club, and her contributions to the Friends of the Wayne Library were testaments to her unwavering commitment to public service and her passion for fostering growth and beauty in every corner of her world.
