He is survived by: his wife Julie Leja; his grandsons, Hayden Linville and Gavin Linville; his mother June Thomason (Nee); and his siblings, Judy Joiner (Marshall), Pamela Thomason, Terrie MacLachan (Lloyd), Roxanne Barney (John), Al Thomason (Andrea) and Alan Thomason (Amy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
