She was predeceased by: her father John Hackett; her husband Clyde Thornton; her son John Orefice; her grandson John Orefice; and her brothers, Gary and Rick Hackett.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Orefice (Dawn Lowrey) of Belleville, MI and Annmarie Orefice-Wajdowicz (Mark) of Belleville, MI; her sister Linda Samson of Whittemore, MI; and her grandchildren, Chad, Tony, Joey, Emily, Alexis, Adrienne and Taylor. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
