He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Marutz; and his sister Eunice Milliman. He is survived by: his children, Pam Doublestein (Scott) and Lynn Marutz; his grandchildren, Stacey Phillips (Einar) and Philip Doublestein (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Paige, Micah, Ollie, Finn Phillips, Wyatt and Gus Doublestein.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Robert, contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Bell Restoration Fund.
