He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion DeWeerd and Margaret DeWeerd; and his siblings, Hugh DeWeerd and Melanee Kahlor. He is survived by: his children, Ken DeWeerd, Marijane DeWeerd, Wayne DeWeerd, Nicholas DeWeerd and Ashley Swainston (Bob); his grandchildren, Nicholas Oglesbee, Lindsay Beattie (William), Tyler DeWeerd, Trevor DeWeerd, Kaiden DeWeerd, Gavin DeWeerd, Carson DeWeerd, Dane Swainston and Kendal Swainston; his great grandchildren, Landon and Nolan Beattie; and his sister Lorraine Hammond (David). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Ken's life will be held when the current Covid-19 concerns are over.
