He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Oetman and Arlene Oetman; and his brother-in-law Kevin Post. He is survived by: his wife Shari Oetman; his sons, Tim Oetman (Shannon), Nate Oetman and Ty Oetman (Kate Hoekwater); his grandson Dawson John; and his siblings, Donna Oetman, Bev Post and Steve Oetman (Rayanna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM at the Wayland Christian Reformed Church (303 E Elm St, Wayland, MI 49348). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
In memory of John and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wayland CRC or Hope Unexpected.
