We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2021, at the age of 97, Irene Pelka (Wayland, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Pelka; her daughter Carol Whitney; her granddaughter Tracy Worrell; and her parents, Casimier Makarewicz and Sophie Makarewicz.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Pelka (Betty), Don Pelka and Monica Tyler (Mike); her son-in-law Lyle Whitney; her siblings, Louise Kipen, Florence Reilly, Henry Makarewicz (Cheryl) and Ted Makarewicz; her siblings-in-law, Eleanor Marker and John Hinds; her siblings, Kazimierz, Helen Makarewicz, Bernice Carowitz (Jimmie), Ben Makarewicz (Loretta), Al Marker (Florence), Edward Marker, Raymond Makarewicz and Lillian Hinds; and her brothers-in-law, Dick Kipen and Tom Reilly. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
