We bid farewell to Duane McBride of Wayland, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 31, 2024 at the age of 85. Duane touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard McBride and Alice McBride (Fitzgerald); and his brothers, Howard "Rex" McBride (Ann) and Jon "Gordon" McBride (Phyllis). He is survived by: his wife Helen Jean De Roos; his children, Brian McBride (Erin Carpenter), Marcia Schierbeek (Mike) and Tamela Kneibel (Larry); his grandchildren, Renae Hackley (Lee), Keith Schierbeek (Carmen), Brent Schierbeek (Caryn), Nick McBride (Katelyn), Morgan Raedeke (Brent), Stacy Shimp and Evan Shimp; his great grandchildren, Mason, Quincy Hackley, Violet, Theo, Autumn Schierbeek, Ava, Ivy Schierbeek, Addy, Sawyer, Liam McBride, Brooks and Navy Raedeke; his brother Edward "Ken" McBride (Marge); and his siblings-in-law, Dora Werkema, Carol Eisenlohr and Bill De Roos (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
