He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Calkins and Margie Calkins (Vollink); his son Kevin Calkins; and his in-laws, Felix and Katherine Pankratz.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Calkins; his children, Kristy Calkins and Keith Calkins (Kelli); his grandchildren, Emily, Samantha, Isabella Johnson, Bryce, Brayden and Bryleigh Calkins; his siblings, Barbara Jeffers, Teresa Permoda (Tim), Shirley Graham (Jim) and Christine Morris (Doug); and his in-laws, Lee Pankratz (Kathy), Paula Fales (Gary) and Amy DeShaw (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Hospice or Woodward Baptist Church.
