He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ballard and Hazel Ballard; his daughter-in-law Karen Ballard; his brother-in-law Ivan Wyrick; and his siblings, Roy Ballard, Elmer Ballard and Theola Wyrick.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Ballard; his children, Douglas Ballard, Dawn Chavis (Billy), Donna Felten (Barry), Barb Schaefer (Jonathan), Janece Shelton (Tom) and Christine Passchier (Raymond); his grandchildren, Jeff Ballard, Steve Ballard (Alicia), Mandy Walker (William), Justin Chavis (Misty), Jeremy Chavis (Desirae), Jordan Chavis (Danielle), Ian Felten (Lauren), Colin Felten (Hailey), Maddy Felten, Seth Schaefer (Janel), Kathryn VanDerMeer (Andrew), Kyle Schaefer (Esther), Rae Lynne Walker (Kody), Sarah Artzer (Tyler), Hannah Shelton, Anneliese Passchier and Lillian Passchier; and his sister Lola Wyrick. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
