It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Philyaw of Watervliet, Michigan, who passed away on November 10, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Philyaw (Harper). He is survived by: his children, Lajuana Spaulding (Rick), Rhonda Rantz, Regina Naumann (Craig) and Trent Philyaw; and his grandchildren, Chris Spaulding (Casey), Casey Spaulding (Kari), Michael Rantz and Matthew Rantz. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, step-siblings, nieces and nephews.
Joe's wife Phyllis died during the restriction period of COVID, so their family will gather with friends for visitation on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet to honor both of their parents on what would have been their 67th anniversary.
