George Wood Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Wood Sr. of Watervliet, Michigan, who passed away on June 26, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Wood (Yates); his grandson Anthony Wood; his children-in-law, Joe Clayton and Sandy Wood; his parents, Frederick Wood and Faye Wood (LaPorte); and his sisters, Mary Rutter, Patricia Newcomb, Betty Mendenhall and Dolores Kietzer.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Vance (Anita Oldham), Cheryl Clayton of George Wood, JR and Ken Wood; and his grandchildren, Eric Clayton, Jason Clayton (Hanna), Bryan Clayton, Michael Wood (Michelle), Cori Wood (Mike), Kim Kreitner (Rob), Bert Vance (Kam), Marc Vance, Matt Vance (Angel) and Dawn Vance (Yuji).
Memorials may be made in George's memory to Watervliet Fire Department or North Berrien Senior Center.
