It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda Mae Smith (Watervliet, Michigan), born in Little Rock, Arkansas, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whitaker and Blanchie Whitaker (Gilbert); and her brother Lawrence "Bob" Whitaker. She is survived by: her sons, Marcus R Smith (Audrey), James Keith Smith (Rhonda), Marvin Smith (Lisa Riley) and MacArthur Smith (Brandy); and her sisters, Wanda Whitaker (Fred Seabury), Lois Harris (Donald), Donna Conner (Kenneth), Eula Tarantino (Gary) and Ramona Griffeth (Jeff). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
