He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Smith and Victoria Smith; his son Terry; and his siblings, Alfred, Clarence, Nick Jr. and Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Frank Smith Jr. (Jennifer) of Benton Harbor and Leon Smith (Cheryl) of Watervliet; and his brother Gene Rose.
