He was predeceased by: his brothers, Victor, Andy and Walter. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Kowalik; his sons, Steven Kowalik, James Kowalik (Susan) and Brian Kowalik (Tina); his grandchildren, James, Neil (Joanna), Amanda (John), Bruce and Dale; his great grandchildren, Kylan and Larkin; and his sisters, Henrietta Orban (Dan) and Jane Bidol.

Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
