He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ray Murphy and Jacqueline Smith (Conner); his stepfather Floyd Smith; and his brother Danny Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his sons, Gregory Murphy (Linnie) and Michael Murphy (Lauren); his grandchildren, Taylor (Jeff), Kaitlyn (Blake), Brooklyn, Jakob, Briyawna, Riley, Harper and Keaton; his great grandchildren, Gracie and Vivienne; and his sisters, Vickie Jewell, Lisa Sorke and Pam Shanks.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Coats Funeral Home (3141 Sashabaw Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48329). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
