He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son James Keen; and his siblings, Brianne Keen (Jean) and Patti Street (late Jim).

He built the water tower, blacksmiths shop, negotiated the donation of the Grand Trunk caboose, organized the moving of the Waterford Depot and provided the furnishings of the interior, and built many other buildings in the park.
