He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilva Lurene and Charles Thomas Crabtree; his wife Betty; his children, Shelly Kvamme (Brock), Lorrie Umstead (Derek), Angie Allport (Melissa), Michelle Hylla (Steve), Brian Crabtree and Teresa Crabtree (Tenesa Smith); and his grandchildren, Bradley Tosto (Chelsea), Heather Doerfler (Mike), Lindsey Lehman (Nolan), Dwayne Metcalf, Kaye Richard (Dylan), Stephanie Flores, Jennifer Hylla (Steven Curry) and Adriana Crabtree (Ana Lowe). He was also cherished by many other family members and friends.
