He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Vicki Wharton; his children, Lynne Williams (Johnnie), John Wharton (Jill Shada), Tomas Wharton and Shawn Wharton (Amy); his grandchildren, Jade, Pierce, Luke (Karie), Brookelyn (Kyle), Drake, Jenna, Ryan, Steven, Katlyn, Henry, Benedict, Francesco, Celia, Ryan Jr., Nathaniel, Hunter, Jayleigh, Layken and Waylon; and his siblings, Nikki Wharton-Eby (late Carl), Thomas Wharton and Steven Wharton. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
