He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kowalski and Victoria Kowalski (Novak); and his siblings, Virginia Brefka, Lucille Raft, Lorraine Biskup, Rita Howley, Gerald Kowalski and Romaine Ankoviak.
He is survived by: his wife Romaine Kowalski; his sons, Michael Kowalski (Jennie) and Paul James Kowalski (Brooke); his grandchildren, Gina Kowalski of Michael Kowalski, II, Ronald Kowalski (Jeanine), John Kowalski (Kristi) and Matthew Kowalski (Jenni); and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, Joshua, Nathan, Vincent, Andrew, Dylan, Jack, Bradley, Gibson and Elyse. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church or Motts Children's Hospital.
