She was predeceased by: her father Sockalingam Sellathurai. She is survived by: her mother Punyavathi Sockalingam; her husband Rasalingam Sundaralingam; her children, Sureja Sundaralingam (Kavekkumaran Maheswaran) and Suganthan Sundaralingam (Keerthana Shanmugarajah); her grandchildren, Akshayan V. Kavekkumaran and Avira L. Kavekkumaran; and her sibling Kamalalojiny Srinivasan.
