He was predeceased by: his wife Marilynn Kotrch (Littleford); his daughter Kimberly Gorman; his parents, Michael Kotrch and Magdalene Kotrch; and his brothers, Carl, Michael and Daniel Kotrch.

He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Toft and Scott Kotrch; his foster daughter Brenda Roos (Rodney); his siblings, Steve Kotrch (George Christensen) and Mary Peck (David); and his sister-in-law Mary Pat Kotrch (Daniel). He is also survived by his grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
