He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan Keller-Herman; his children, Katheryn Henkel (David), Yvonne "Bonnie" Comeau (Richard), Susan Koons (David Koran) and Daniel Herman (Lynette); his grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Amanda, Adam, Luke, Joel, Colin and Maiya; his great grandchild Laiken; and his brother John Herman (Judith).
In lieu of flowers the family would like to have a tree planted in William's name at the National Park Foundation.
