He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Woody and Ola B. Woody Turner; and his brother Robert Woody. He is survived by: his son Kevin Woody; his grandchildren, Zoey Woody, Alexis True, Renzo Salvatore, Braxton Woody, Madison Woody and Skylar Stratz; and his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Woody, Rhoda Stewart, Betty Meyers, Georgia "Jo" Burgess and Patricia Easterly.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be directed to Henry Ford Hospice.
