It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonia Sassin of Warren, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bertolini and Sofia Bertolini; her husband Louis John Sassin; her son Louis; and her sisters, Silvana Plazonja (Joseph) and Mary Lou Bertolini.

She is survived by: her sons, Matthew (Lynn), Michael and Gregory (Donna); her grandchildren, Rebekah Sassin, Rachel Ventimiglia (Vince), Renee Wojcik (Alex), Leah Sassin (John Wylie), Noah Sassin, Sarah Sassin, Ashley Sassin and Jenna Sassin; her great grandchildren, Giovanni, Sofia, Giancarlo, Vincent Ventimiglia, Elijah, Ella and Emersyn Wojcik; her sister Lilly Kostielney (Kenneth); her nephew Jonathan; and her nieces, Alisa, Elizabeth and Emily.
