She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Schaening and Eleanor Schaening (Bayer). She is survived by: her husband Phillip; her sister Nancy Haase (late Byron); her nephew Craig Haase (Mika); her niece Karen Kotenko (Kevin); her great-nephews, Brandon and Logan; and her great-niece Cathryn.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (32300 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088).
