He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lewis and Mary Lewis; his child Tandy Lewis; and also Amanda Boyer. He is survived by: his daughters, Shirley Rives (Scott) and Colleen Vogler (Fred); his sister Patricia Anderson (Mike); his grandchildren, Dustin Vogler, Dylan Vogler, Madison Vogler, Cassie Lewis and Blake Lewis; his great grandchildren, Ivan and Norman Vogler; and his former wife Judy Hammer (Lewis).

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a memorial contribution in honor of Oscar, can be made to Tunnel to Towers.
