He was predeceased by: his parents, John McKay and Catherine McKay; and his siblings, James, Kathy, David and MaryAnne.

He is survived by: his wife Suzanne; his children, Erin Hosner (Steve) and Michael McKay (Megan Johnson); his sister-in-law Carolyn; and his nieces and nephews, Steve, Karen, Kenny, DeMarie and Brian.
