He is survived by: his friend Hal Evans; his wife Loreen; his children, Jennifer Ross (Colin) and Jimmie Burgess; his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Connor; his siblings, Mary (Bob) and Tom (Lela); his sister-in-law Janet Burgess; his close friend Cindy Evans; and his pet Roxie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home (30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071). The lying in state was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St Jane Frances de Chantal (38750 Ryan Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48310). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
