He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Theisen; his children, Kim Kandt (Erik Underwood) and James A. Kandt III; his daughter-in-law Nicole Kandt; his grandchildren, Michael, Troy, Zachary, Alice, Andrew, Abigail, Noah, Johannah and Henry; and his brothers, Bruce Kandt (Roseann), Bernard Kandt (Linda) and John Kandt (Tracy). He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
