She was predeceased by: her parents, Eytoile Buckmaster (Burlingame) and Raymond J. C. Buckmaster; her husband Alfred V. Thornton; and her siblings, J. C. Buckmaster, Melvin Buckmaster, Shirley Cordes, Sally Ann Arnold and Julia Lee Queen.
She is survived by: her children, Al Thornton (Karen) and Eytoile Phillips (Kurt); her grandchildren, Laura Schneider (Dylan), Melissa DeSimone (Paul), Brian MacDougall (Jessica), Eytoile Dancy, Troy MacDougall (Rachelle), Sarah Thornton, William Thornton, Cassidy Phillips, Destiny Phillips and Amber Phillips; and her great grandchildren, Collin Dancy, Nicole MacDougall, Gabriel Thornton, Annabelle DeSimone, Mirabel Schneider, Desmond Schneider, Christopher MacDougall and Abigail Denis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
