We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2023, at the age of 66, David Paul Philipps of Wallace, Michigan, born in Menominee, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Paul Philipps to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane "Dewey" Philipps and Lenore Philipps (Salewsky); his grandparents, Ted, Irene Philipps, Milton and Delia Salewsky; his brother Daniel; his brother-in-law Carl Theuerkauf, Jr.; his nephew Daniel Theuerkauf; his niece Tammy Philipps; and his great-niece Audrey Theuerkauf.

He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Crossman (Steve) of Menominee, Sue Gearhart (Bob) of Powers, Laurie of Wallace, Mary Mills (Wayne) of Marinette, Duane (Carol) of Deerbrook, WI, Tim (Jean) of Wallace, Matt of Vista, CA, Mark (Bonnie) of Wallace, Tom (Holly) of Wallace and Chris of Wallace; and his pet Squeaky. He is also survived by Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests donation be made to their favorite charity in David's name as he always strove to help others. And we ask that you always try to live your life a little like David, with a smile always close by, never a bad word about another person, and willing to take a little time from your life to just talk with someone else.

Dave Higbee wrote a sympathy message

“FROM: Dave Higbee, a good friend of Dave. I was very sad to here of Dave's passing. Got to meet and deal a lot with Dave at Wallace Lumber. Many times I would go to Wallace Lumber for wood projects and run into Dave. Either in the store/office or out in the lumber yard. Dave was always very nice, friendly and added to my shopping experience with positive conversation! And it was always great to visit with Dave at the Mellen Fire fund raising events! Always a great guy, he is missed!”
