He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Payne and Lillian Payne (Husset); his siblings, Richard (Betty), Thomas, William Payne and Arbutus "Sis" Stanfield; and his half-siblings, Timothy, Virgil "Tam" Payne, Willard and Cheryl.
He is survived by: his former wife Lorena "Reny" Gleason of Hardscrabble; his wife Lorena Payne; his children, Otho (Mary), Randall (Roxanne), Rebel (Cheryl), Wesley and Candace (Scot Stanek); and his half-siblings, Terry, Terryal Payne, Violet Parsons (Jake), Orchid Franklin (Bruce), Dawn Fialek (Mark) and Willow Payne. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
