He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Dale and Evelyn Mildred Connin (Sanders); his brother Bernard Connin; his sons-in-law, James Trowbridge and Larry Fellows; and his stepson Scott Ferguson.

He is survived by: his children, Sherry Trowbridge of Archbold, Martin Connin (Laura) of Amelia Island, Patricia Lashaway (Doug) of Pioneer and Penny DeWitt of Akron, Ohio; his stepchildren, Sandy Tietsort (Gary) of Waldron and Cherie Norton (Dean) of Hendersonville; his brothers, Allen Connin of Reading and Keith Connin of Union City, Michigan; and his former wives, Eleanor Crommer (Gratz) of Pioneer and Judy Conin (Brehm) of Waldron, Michigan..
