He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph John and Marion Caroline Buchko (Peterson); and his siblings, Gerald, Ronald and Joan Wrege.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Mattila; his children, Lori Ahola (Jeffrey), Joe Buchko Jr. (Mary) and Jessica Donayre (Cesar); his sisters, Barbara Gheller and Claudette Taivalmaa (Clyde); and his sister-in-law Renee Mattila. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
