He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Welch and Lenore Welch (Caddy); his in-laws, Robert and Mary Backlund; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Hanson (Robert) and Ron Lindquist; and his close friend Dick Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Jean Backlund; his son Anthony (Wendy) of Quinnesec; his siblings, William Welch (Gloria) and Carolyn Lindquist; his siblings-in-law, Terry Backlund (Kay) and Mary Kay Ehrhardt (Fritz); his grandson Cole (Andrea); his great grandchildren, Evelyn Jean, Lenora Lucille and Charles Anthony; his stepgrandson Cory Wilson (Marie); and also, James Donald and Kenneth Timothy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
