He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Ritzenhein and Mary Lou Ritzenhein (Huxoll); his grandchildren, Annmarie Hytinen and Abraham Ritzenhein; his sisters, Joan Fitzpatrick (Don) and Janine Mourer; and his brothers-in-law, Don Fitzpatrick and Ron Umlor.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Ritzenhein Sr., Andy Ritzenhein (Kristine), Ann Walker and Katie Johnson (Tom); his grandchildren, Jason Ritzenhein, Chris Jr. Ritzenhein (Emilia), Jimmy Ritzenhein, Marlow Ritzenhein, Levi Ritzenhein, Morgan Sebo (Kody), Erin Hudson (Jamie), Shana D'Ambrosio (Joey), Courtney Schachter (Jeremy) and Anthony Newman; his great grandchildren, Alexia Ritzenhein, Adelina Ritzenhein, Alyana Ritzenhein, Augustine Ritzenhein, Evelynn Sebo and Ayden Sebo; and his siblings, Pat Umlor (Ron), Virginia Flannigan, Mary Ritzenhein, Peggy Bitely (Mike), Jerry Ritzenhein (Marcia) and Barb Johnson (Randy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home (901 Carpenter Ave, Iron Mountain, MI 49801). A rosary was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Barabara Catholic Church (159 Mission St, Vulcan, MI 49892). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Barbara Catholic Church (159 Mission St, Vulcan, MI 49892).
