He was predeceased by: his father Julius Schaefer; and his parents-in-law, Neil and Carol Brondyke. He is survived by: his mother Carole Schaefer (Long); his former wife Elizabeth Brondyke; his wife Elizabeth "Becky" Schaefer; his children, Corinne Larson (Tim), Zac Schaefer and Joshua Schaefer; his grandchildren, Mattea, Talia, Isaac, Karisa and Sammy Larson; his brothers, Paul Schaefer (Carla), Keith Schaefer (Sandra), Ron Schaefer (Sue) and Gary Schaefer (Stacy); and his siblings-in-law, Dave Brondyke (Jan) and Heather Roush. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
