He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Nichols and Katherine Nichols (White); and his brother John Clark. He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Simpkins; his children, Teresa Caswell, Rosella McDonald (Kenneth), Shan Nickols and William Nickols Jr. (Cher); his siblings, Shirley Turner (Charles), Robert Nichols and Charles D. Nichols; his grandchildren, Tiffany Larson, Stephanie Tobias, Cloe Nickols, Marisa Hudson and Kelsey Hudson; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Nickols, Emily Tobias, Bradley Mooney, Aaron Tobias and William Larson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Apostolic Church of Portage (3600 W Milham Ave, Portage, MI 49024). A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
