He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Scott Layne and Lois Layne (Cooley); his wife Nancy Layne (Van Laar); his children, Steven Layne (Sue), Lorrie VerSteeg (John) and Cyndee Van Sweden (Paul); his grandchildren, Scott Kellogg (Chandra), Leighann Harris (Doug), Travis Van Sweden (Courtney) and Katie Layne (Dan Ramsdell); his sisters, Mary Bullard and Barb Witherow; and his great grandchildren, Hank, Clara, Rowen, Zayden and Griffin.
