He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion McCormick and Winifred McCormick (Kelly); and his brother Robert M. "Bob" McCormick. He is survived by: his spouse Dorrine Zimmerman-Sattler; his daughter Patti Beglin (Casey) of Lake Odessa; his grandchildren, Ellery and Meredith; his stepchildren, Lisa Sattler of Baltimore, MD and Shane Sattler (Jen) of St. John; his stepgrandchildren, Jordan, Jerrod, Bryson Sattler and Brionna Sattler; his great grandchildren, Keegan Sattler and Bradlee Sattler; his father-in-law Robert Zimmerman; his siblings-in-law, Rod Zimmerman (Shez), Ray Zimmerman (Sharon) and Lois Mejia (Manuel); his children, Julie and Lindsay; and also, Julie Wight of California and Lindsay Riessen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Lodge in Grand Rapids.
