He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Bill Black. He is survived by: his wife Bethel; his daughters, Valerie Black, Michele Mitchell (Denis) and Wendy Walker (Skip Dyes); his grandchildren, Matthew Franklin Black (Sarah) and Sara Jo Braun (Jon); and his great grandchild Isaiah.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richland Township Fire Department for equipment.
