He was predeceased by: his parents, Scota Chaffin and Mable Chaffin (Ringle); his wife June Arlene Chaffin; and his siblings, Raymond Chaffin, Milan (Ruth Chaffin), Reuben Chaffin, Darlene (Waldo Drummond), Arleta (Richard Ringle), Florence (Harry Dove), Ada (Carmen Murphy) and Thelma Chaffin.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Chaffin (Judy), Becky Assman (Alexander), Jon Chaffin (Trish) and Jim Chaffin (Amy); and his grandchildren, Timothy, Orrie, Josh, Aaron, Jaimie, Zane, Zoe, Sally and Angie. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; and 6 step great grandchildren.
