He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Duncan and Elsie B. Duncan (Baker); and his son Val Dean. He is survived by: his wife Virginia R. Duncan; his children, Valerie Dennis (Mark), Susan Arthur (Ben), Steven, Jeffrey and Timothy; his grandchildren, Hunter Dennis, Kyle, Megan, Phoebe and Jedidah Arthur; and his sisters, June Hazen and Judy Raymond.

Memorial tributes may be made to the First Baptist Church.
