He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hoppe and Olga Hoppe; his wife Joyce Calcut; his grandson Gerald Michael Hoppe; his daughter Beth Hoppe; and his siblings, William, Alfred, Ervin, Robert, Jim, Ralph, Olga, Hattie and Florence.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Hoppe-LaFever (Mark) and Jerry Hoppe (Debbie); his grandchildren, Amy Donnelly-Bickel (Tim), Jenny Donnelly-Schiattone (Jay), Tricia Donnelly-Haubenstricker (Adam), Darcy LaFever-Mielke (Trevor) and Mark LaFever; his great grandchildren, Kayla Schramm (Ben), Calista Bickel and Addison Bickel; his great great grandchild Kash Schramm; his sister Lucille Slick; and his friend Howard Standen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hanlin Funeral Home - Vassar (1148 W Saginaw Rd, Vassar, MI 48768).
