We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2023, at the age of 90, Carolyn A. Pickren in Vassar, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Surprenant and Carol Surprenant (Ward); her husband Donald Pickren, Jr.; her grandson Nathan Miller; her brother Lawrence Surprenant; her son-in-law Richard Zerafa; and her great grandchild William Archer Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Pickren (Shelly), Darcie Pickren, Deborah Zerafa, Donald Pickren II (Cindy) and Marcia Pickren-Arnett (John); and her grandchildren, Zachary Pickren (Asia), Schuyler Pickren, Richard Pickren Jr. (Christina), Olivia Jones (Chris), Bridget Klotz (Nick), Ryan Young, Corrine Fleet, Kendra Joseph (Ryan), Alicia Swanson (Scott), Scarlett Zerafa, Hayley Bommarito (Bryan), Cody Pickren (Tricia), Tom Pickren, Donielle Baker (Todd), Stephanie Fongers (Mike), Julianne Rhodes (Zach), Aleece LaRoche (Steven) and Alexis Smith. She is also survived by 36 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers those desiring to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Donald Cody Pickren, Jr. or the Vassar Baptist Church.
