He was predeceased by: his parents, Tevel Thomas and Lydia Thomas; and his brothers, Bennie Slate, Roscoe Davidson and Terry Thomas.

He is survived by: his children, Darla Thomas and Kyle Thomas; and his siblings, Velma Davidson, Gwen Thomas, Rick Davidson, Pete Davidson (Renee) and Bernard "Coach" Thomas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family prefers contributions in memory of Roosevelt be made to Elkhart Meadows, 2600 Morehouse Avenue, Elkhart, Indiana 46517.
