He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Michael Hofford (Christine), David Hofford, Chris Hofford and Patrice Crechiolo (Joseph); his grandsons, Alexander, Nicholas and Steven; his siblings, Alan Hofford, John Hofford, George Hofford, Gail Walkowiak, Mary Ann St. Onge, Wayne Hofford and Nancy Paquin; and his stepbrothers, Mike and Tony Hofford. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
